Creating miniature accessories for your Blythe dolls can be a fun and rewarding experience. In this tutorial, we will share how to making a miniature bear softie that is perfect for any Blythe doll collection. This softie is easy to make and can be customized to match your doll’s unique style.
There are only a few materials you will need:
- Pattern
- Felt fabric
- Stuffing
- Tools: Scissor,Thread,Needle

You can simply download the print out the pattern, or trace the pattern on top of your computer’s screen. Remember to pay attention of the size chart on pattern, it helps you to make sure your work turn out is a suitable size for a Blythe doll.
Step 1: Cutting the Felt Fabric
Start by cutting out two identical bear shapes from the brown plush fabric. These shapes should be roughly the same size and shape as the finished bear. Cut out a circle from white fabric for the bear’s snout.
You can use any cute plush fabric you want. Here we also suggest our special plush fabric on grid base. The fabric has a very short 1mm pile and strong backing. It’s a perfect material for making miniature dolls. Check more details of the fabric: Ministoff (grid backing)
Step 2: Sewing
Draw two ear shape on the fabric and sew without cutting in advance. The ears are two small that if cut them before sewing it will be quite hard to continue.
Place the two cat shapes together with the right sides facing each other and sew around the edges, and also put the two ears on the right position. Carefully cut a small opening on the back of the dbear for stuffing. Stuff the cat shape with the stuffing material and sew the opening shut.
Step 4: Adding Facial Features
Embroider the bear’s eyes and mouth with thin floss.
