Are you looking for a fun and easy DIY decoration for your dollhouse? Making a snowman plush doll is a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit and add some winter charm to your home and dollhouse decor. In this tutorial, we will guide you through the process of making a snowman plush doll step-by-step.
First, you will need the below materials:
- Pattern (we offer free pattern in this article. Check it out later)
- White plush fabric (Find the same fabric we used here: soft plush fabric A02)
- Pins (Available here: quality sewing pins)
- Red Ribbon
- Blue plush felt
- White & Red pom pom
- Stuffing
- Tools like: Scissors, Thread, Needle and Glu
You can download and print out the pattern above, or simply trace the pattern on your computer. Remember to adjust the pattern size to fit the size chart so that you can get exactly the size as the tutorial. You can also narrow down or enlarge the pattern to any size you want.
Step 1: Cutting the felt fabric
Start by cutting two circles out of the white felt fabric. One circle should be larger than the other. The larger circle is the body of the snowman, and the smaller one will be the head. Cut out a semicircle(according to the pttern) from the blue felt felt for the snowman’s hat.
Step 2: Sewing
Sew the two white plush fabric circle with Basting Stitch. Stuff the the body and head with stuffing material (normally we use cotton) and secure a knot.Then sew the body and head together with Hidden Stitch.
Step 3: Adding Arms and Facial Features
We use sewing pins for small snowman’s arms and eyes making. Use the glue to attach the eyes and nose to the snowman. Also, use glue to attatch the red pom pom as a nose. Do the mouth embroidery with black thread.
Step 4: Adding Hat
Use glue to attatch the blue hat onto snowman’s head. It’s very convenient to use glue to do all these steps.
Step 5: Finishing Touches
Give your snowman a red scraft!
