Free Mini Bear Pattern for Beginner
There’s something so special about tiny things — and this little bear might just be the sweetest project yet.
I’m excited to share a free pattern for a miniature bear, made from vintage cotton velvet (available in our shop!). This little one stands just a few inches tall — small enough to tuck into a pocket, a bag, or keep close as a tiny companion wherever you go.
The design is inspired by traditional miniature bears, with a simple structure that’s also perfect for beginners who want to try their hand at bear-making. No complicated steps — just lots of charm.
This post includes the free pattern only, not a full step-by-step tutorial — but once you have the pieces cut, the magic is all yours to create ✨
Materials You’ll Need:
To bring this little green bear to life, you’ll need:

Green cotton velvet fabric – soft, vintage-style, and available right here in the shop. I used fabric #A for this bear.

Black glass eyes – the perfect size for a mini bear face

Mini bear joints – so your bear can be fully posable
